Happy 100th Anniversary Girl Scouts!

Wow! There was no denying we were in “Girltopia”! The Los Angeles Expo Center was transformed into a plushy, carpeted, pink and purple girly world for over 12,000 Girl Scouts celebrating the 100th anniversary of the organization. The white wall to wall carpeting extended in every direction as far as the eye could see. Our friends at Justine Magazine were the first to welcome us inviting us to chill on their plushy bean bag chairs.

The Mayor of Girltopia was Madison De La Garza, sister of Demi Lovato, best known for her role as Juanita Solis on “Desperate Housewives”. She was a lot of fun to hang with in the green room and told us how she loves to play her part because she can act out and be fresh, which is not something she would ever do in real life.

It was amazing to walk around and see so many of the girl scouts wearing our Michael and Marisa bracelets coming up to us saying they recognize us from J-14 magazine. There was a panel of girls talking about teen issues that included Josie Lauren from “Make it or Break it” and “Madison High”‘s Katherine McNamara, who we got to chat with a bit and who was super nice.

Drew Seely entertained as well to screaming girls hearing the voice behind the Zac Efron character in High School Musical.

We want to thank the Girl Scouts organization for having us perform as well as the hundreds of girls who came to our meet and greet after our show. It was awesome to meet you!! The Girl Scouts of America ran a fantastic event and we were glad to be a part of it!!
