Michael and Marisa – Your Story is Powerful

Posted in Uncategorized on October 11, 2014 by Michael and Marisa

michaelMarisa Your Story is Powerful

Hi! We are Michael and Marisa, and we are spokespersons for PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center. Bullying is a cause that we care about deeply. We know that a lot of kids feel like they are all alone, and that nothing will change.

We are here to say that things can change. We are here to encourage you to be a part of that change by sharing your story with us. It can be a story about how you were bullied, or maybe a story about how you helped someone going through a bullying situation.

Sharing your story is a powerful way to let others know that this is an issue that has heartbreaking impact. It also shows kids that they are not alone, that people do care, and things do change.

Oh, and the really cool part is that selected stories will be posted to this website. Even more cool is that one story will be selected at random to receive a 13-inch 256GB MacBook Air!* Yeah, we think that is pretty awesome too!

Are you ready to share your story with us?

  1. First, watch our video

2. Next, read these guidelines:
Students entering must be between 13-18 years of age.
Submit stories from October 1-31, 2014.
Entries should be submitted online.
Parent permission is required.
The selected story will be announced in early November 2014.

2.Now, Share your story!

We would love for you to visit our website,

We wrote the song “Beautiful Comeback” because everyone has that feeling of failing sometimes, but after a failure, there is an opportunity to come back stronger. That’s what we call a “Beautiful Comeback”.

We are doing a worldwide launch surrounding “Beautiful Comeback” to help put an end to bullying! Click HERE to listen to “Beautiful Comeback” and see how you can get involved!

“Beautiful Comeback” Video Shoot

Posted in Music, News, Uncategorized, Video on January 7, 2012 by Michael and Marisa

We just shot a new music video for our next single “Beautiful Comeback” and we can’t wait for you to see it! We shot the video at Turner Hill, which is a mansion in Massachusetts in the middle of horse country (any horse riders will REALLY like this one!). We had such a great time shooting it with Stokes Nielson (of The Lost Trailers from Nashville) who not only directed the video but also co-wrote and produced the song with us. Below is a little behind the scenes interview with both of us and some photos of us during the shoot!

We had so much fun making this video last summer!  Our goal was to make a video that would get across the feeling we wrote about in our original song, “It’s Like That”.  Please don’t worry about us when you watch this.  No band members were harmed during the making of this music video.

Bullied To Silence

Last spring, we were privileged to participate in this amazing film to be released in 2012. “Bullied to Silence” is a powerful, provocative and timely feature documentary that gives the bullied victim a voice. It is an artistic, moving, and educational documentary about bullying and its impact. Check out the trailer below. Warning: It’s heavy so be prepared for that. Beautiful job though…
